Fan Fiction: As The Nidoran Ran

Submitted by Mega Mewtwo

Chapter 1: Diddy Kong Racing

“Get ready! GO!” the voice on my N64 said. “C’mon Timber! You can do it!” I said to Timber, the character I was being. “Go Pipsy, you stupid mouse! Go!!” My rival, Gary yelled at his character, Pipsy. “Yes! I won!! Better luck next time, Gary!” I said, doing my victory dance around my living room. “Arrrrg, next time, I’m choosing Timber, Pipsy’s hecka slow! Ash, I challenge you to a Moltres race, tomorrow!” Gary ordered. “But I have an Articuno, not a Moltres!” I said. “Then bring him!!” Gary yelled at me. “Just cuz you beat me at Diddy Kong Racing doesn’t mean you’ll beat me at Moltres-Articooie!” Gary said storming out of my house. “What’s Moltres-Articooie?” My big brother Doug asked. “A take off on Banjo-Kazooie.” I told him.

Chapter 2: Back to The Caverns

I hurried to the Sandshrew’s Caverns to rest and train my Articuno. “Welcome back, Ash! Long time no see!” King Rumbly Butt welcomed me. “Hi, King. Gary challenged me to an Articuno/Moltres race.” I told him. “Did ya cream him? What’d ya win?” he asked. “Nothing. The race is tomorrow.” I said. “Can I train Articuno in your training course?” I asked. “Go right ahead, Ash!” he said, pointing me there. Just as I entered, Gary popped up, insulting me as usual. “Yo Ash! Just look at your Articuno! It’s so fat, it sat on a rainbow and skittles popped out!” Then the Moltres started to speak. “Hey, Arty!” it said to my Articuno. “Is that your face, or are you eating a mince-meat pie?!” it insulted my Articuno. “Ash, I’ve beat this obstacle course! It’s E-Z for me, but since you don’t know nuttin’ bout’ racing, It’ll be hecka hard for you!” he said to me. “Then how come I beat you in Diddy Kong Racing?” I asked “FORGET ABOUT THAT! IT WAS A LUCKY RACE, JUST A LUCKY RACE!!!” he yelled at me, his face turning red. “Smell ya later, Ash!!” He exited the room saying to himself: “Dirty ratsa fratsa!” I continued on the obstacle course.

Chapter 3: The Lost Pokemon

“Ash, you look a little jumpy. What’s wrong?” Misty asked as we walked back from the coke machines. “Well, Gary challenged me to a bird Pokemon race, and I’ve been trying to train my Articuno.” I told her. Just then, who should walk by, but Gary! “Yo Ash! You still training that wimpy Articuno of yours? Just to let you know, I’m gonna beat you, so get a bag to put over your head! Hahaha! I’m so funny, I crack me up!” Gary cackled. “If that was a joke, it wasn’t that funny, Gary!” I said. “You have no sense of humor, do you, Ash? Well, gotta go walk my Growlithe! Smell U 2 later!! Haha!” he said. “None of his jokes are humorous!” I said. “Don’t worry, Ash! You’ll win!” Misty said, patting me on the back. Bill ran up to us. “Ash, Misty! Have you seen Jolteon? If you find him, I’ll give you a reward!” He said. “We haven’t seen him, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled!” Misty said. “Misty, hop on. We’ve got a Jolteon to find!” I told her, hopping onto the Articuno. We arrived at Celadon City and hopped of my Articuno. “Team Rocket must have something to do with this!” I told Misty. There was a wiggling bag by the door. I grabbed it. James of Team Rocket came out of the HQ. “Hey you kids! Bring back those Pokemon!” he shouted. “Hurry, Misty!” I told her. We jumped on the Articuno and gently lifted off. We left James stomping mad for the police. We returned the Jolteon to Bill. “Thanx, Ash! For a reward, here is a TM. Please take it!” he said. We thanked him and went home to get ready for the race.

Chapter 4: The Racers

I fed my Articuno a big breakfast that morning. I ran outside to the Pokemon racing course. Gary was there. Misty, Brock and Bill were watching my moves, so for my sake I had better not screw up. “Hey Ash, prepare to lose!” Gary bragged as he grinned his devilish grin. “Hey Arty, is that your beak, or are you eating a turnip?!” Gary’s Moltres cackled to my Articuno. “Get ready!” Misty called. “GO!!” Gary blasted off gracefully and dodged a tree and a few hurtles. I trailed behind him, hoping that I would win. My Articuno’s tail hit a tree, and coconuts bounced off and burst open. Little did we know that we had disrupted a bee’s nest. And boy, those insects weren’t happy campers! They swarmed after us, and I could tell they didn’t wanna give us any milk and cookies! The bees stung Articuno and that slowed him down a bunch. We glided through a cave and over some sparkling stalactites. Gary was almost at the finish, us right behind him. He turned back to me and called “Suckers!!” He wasn’t looking where he was going, and he banged into a tree. We zoomed past him and glided over the finish line. The Moltres had fainted, and Gary was glaring angrily down at it. When my gaze hit him, he turned to us. Then, he ran away, in fear of being a loser.

THE END (OR AT LEAST UNTIL ASH RETURNS!!)
